Can flowers bought from store still be okay after a couple of days?
I will have to buy flowers for mother’s day tomorrow, I’m wondering if this is okay? How do I keep it fresh and not wilt or anything?
ask for, or see if a packet is included, in the flowers that is a refreshener. If not, I have heard of people using an aspirin added to the water, change the water daily or every 2 days, or, hold the stems under cool running water and clip on an angle so the fresh water can get through the stems. I have also heard of adding sugar to the water. Keep the flowers as cool as possible. Put them in the fridge at night and they will remain fresher longer than just leaving them out. Do not put directly in heat or air conditiioning as this may lead to wilting faster. Ask the clerk for the freshest flowers available, this will help also.
